Designed to slip over the belt guard bracket, and secure tightly from both sides to not move. Inside portion of slider is thicker to act as a spacer and set it directly under your chain. No need for multiple pieces! Simple and strong, ready to be bolted on.
Chain sliders are made to save your chain from rubbing any other metal on your sportster due to having too tall of shocks, or having too loose of a chain.
It also helps guide the chain and not have the chain move around so much with its weight.
